1.Removing one person
The shop owner opens Settings, then Users, and blocks or removes the employee. Access stops immediately, on every device.
What that person recorded stays: the sales they rang up, the entries they posted, the audit trail of their actions. This is deliberate. A shop cannot keep honest books if a leaving employee could take the record of their work with them. Their personal details can be corrected or minimised on request.
2.Erasing a shop’s data, from inside the app
A shop owner can wipe the shop’s trading data without waiting for us. In Settings, the danger zone offers an irreversible erasure of products, customers, suppliers, sales, stock, accounting and payroll records. We email a six character code to the owner, which must be entered to confirm.
What survives is only what is needed to keep using the app: the shop itself, its subscription, and the current owner’s login. This cannot be undone. Export what you need first.
3.Closing a shop entirely
To remove the shop and every account attached to it, write from the owner’s registered email address to support@boldredhok.tech with the shop name and the words “close my shop”. We verify that the request comes from the owner, then:
- we confirm within two business days and tell you the date of erasure;
- we offer you an export of your data first, free of charge;
- we delete the shop and its accounts within thirty days of confirmation.
4.What we have to keep, and why
- Our own accounting records of what you paid us: kept seven years, as the law requires of us. This is our invoice to you, not your trading data.
- Records your own tax authority requires you to keep, where you ask us to hold them for that purpose.
- Anonymised counts that cannot identify anyone, such as how many shops used the platform in a given month.
Everything else goes.
5.Backups
Deleted data disappears from the live service at once. Copies inside our encrypted backups age out on the normal backup cycle rather than being surgically removed, and are never restored into the live service except to recover from an incident.
6.If you are a customer of a shop, not a subscriber
If a shop recorded you as its customer and you want that record gone, ask the shop: they decide what they keep. If they do not answer, write to support@boldredhok.tech and we will contact them on your behalf.
